Were Democrats bribed to make Boehner a Speaker?

Now even CNN reports, what Taitz reported yesterday: Boehner was elected with less than half of the members of the Congress voting for him, only 216, not 220, as was reported by Drudge and others yesterday.

Boehner became a speaker thanks to 22 Democrats, who did not show up to vote. A burning question remains: were Democrats bribed not to show up, and as such make Boehner a Speaker with only 216 votes.

Is it possible that the bribe was received back in December, when Boehner gave Democrats in Omnibus  more money they even asked for. For example, Boehner gave them 200 million more, than Obama asked for EPA, even though majority of Republicans opposed. Similarly, Boehner gave 5.4 billion for Africa, when Republicans demanded to cut spending.   Boehner gave Democrats and Obama everything they ever wanted. It appears that in pay back Pelosi and Hoyer arranged for 22 Democrats not to show up for vote to overcome 30 Republicans, who did not vote for Boehner. Please, write to the Director of FBI, James Comey, demand investigation. He investigated Governor Mc Donald, who was sent to prison for public corruption. I is time to investigate Congressional leadership, though I am skeptical he would do anything, as Comey and Holder covered up all of Obama’s bogus IDs and a stolen SSN.

ANTI-CORRUPTION (ANTI RULING MAFIA) FRACTION OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DID, WHAT THEY SET OUT TO DO. 28 REPUBLICANS WERE SUPPOSED NOT TO VOTE FOR BOEHNER IN ORDER TO FORCE THE RE-VOTE. ANTI-CORRUPTION CAUCUS GATHERED 30 REPUBLICANS: 25 VOTED FOR OTHERS AND 5 DID NOT VOTE AT ALL. BOEHNER GOT A TOTAL OF 216 VOTES, LESS THAN HALF OF 435. (THERE ARE CURRENTLY 434 AS GRIMM RESIGNED, BUT HALF OF 434 IS 217, NOT 216.)  THE ONLY REASON BOEHNER WAS REELECTED AS A SPEAKER WAS DUE TO TO 22 DEMOCRATS, WHO PUT HIM THERE BY NOT SHOWING UP FOR VOTE. ANTI-RULING MAFIA CAUCUS CAN REMOVE BOEHNER ANY DAY ON A SIMPLE MOTION FROM THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE TO REMOVE THE SPEAKER. WITH 216 VOTES OF SUPPORT BOEHNER DOES NOT HAVE A MAJORITY AND CAN STILL BE KICKED OUT. MOREOVER, AS NOW OTHER GOP MEMBERS SEE THAT 30 DID NOT VOTE FOR BOEHNER, THEY MIGHT BE LESS AFRAID TO VOTE AGAINST  HIM OR THEY WILL NOT SHOW UP FOR VOTE TO SUPPORT HIM.

    Nancy Pelosi got 164 votes. IF these 22 Democrats did vote for her, she would have gotten 186. Boehner would still have the majority of votes.

    no, he had to have a majority of people who were present. 186 and 30 Republicans makes 216. This means that Boehner did not have a majority of people present. They needed a majority, not plurality

    I don’t understand what the 186 means. Where did that number come from?

    Boehner got 216 votes.
    There was also
    “30 REPUBLICANS: 25 VOTED FOR OTHERS AND 5 DID NOT VOTE AT ALL.”

    I don’t think Boehner voted. If he did, he could have voted for himself, makng the total 217.

    Gowdy missed the vote but has been quoted as saying he would have voted for Boehner. That would make it 218.

    But that is not really important. Boehner just need to win the majority of the votes cast.

    there are 434 members of congress. If all members were to be there, majority would be 218, not 216, simple math

    Maybe some Democrats WANTED to vote for Borhner. It’s not a death match.

    Democrats weren’t bribed. They just used smart politics. They show their support for the person likely to win, and that person owes them a favor, like being put on a powerful committee that matters to people, and lobbyists.

    Conversely, you vote against the person likely to win, and you’ll end up on a crappy committee, like the judiciary committee where you will be lucky enough to get enough campaign contributions to cover the cost of postage.
