We have to stop this death spiral of national debt or else all of our savings and the country as a whole will be destroyed. I looked up on Grok. The average monthly deficit in the last 7 months of 2024 was 200 billion, that is 2.5 trillion per year. Currently, in March and April of 2025 we ran 250 billion per month, that is 3 trillion per year. I hope that Elon Musk, as well as our senators will continue the fight for the balanced budget amendment with the debt repayment clause. We don’t bankrupt our families, we, American citizens, are responsible. Our congress should be responsible as well and should not bankrupt our country. Congress should codify all of the DOGE cuts and maybe not all of the tax breaks should be included in the current budget reconcilliation bill, aka big beautiful bill. We are careening towards the financial abyss if we don’t balance the books
