Our Thousand Oaks Tea Party is a non-partisan
organization supportive of Constitutionally-limited
government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets.
We oppose corruption, wasteful spending, raising
taxes, and the influence of special interests in our
government which was designed by our Founders to be
of the People, by the People, and for the People.
“In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence
in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the
Constitution.” Thomas Jefferson (Kentucky Resolutions)

Dear Tea Party / 9.12 Project Members:
E l e c t i o n d a y n e a r s . . .
And — June 6-10 – Socialism/Marxism discussed at CLU!!!
See links at very bottom: Social Justice & Globalization Conference:
“Conference on Globalization for the Common Good”
Shocking!!! Some of us must attend portions of this!!! Call me!
Our 5/20 Candidate Forum was a resounding success!
The room was packed with over 70 in attendance.
Candidates and members later said, “Do it again!” And we will!!!
Ours was different and more satisfying than other Forums because
our expert M.C., Denny Weinberg, allowed questions from the floor.
Tea Parties are effective! Early primaries have proved it!
Constitutionalists in, Establishmentists out: Kentucky, Utah, Idaho …
June 8 will bring more of the same!
As promised, I’ve been precinct walking for Tea Party candidate
Chuck DeVore — and also Robert Howell, candidate for Assembly 37,
because he too has Tea Party principles. At our Candidate Forum, it
was obvious he has relevant experience, fine character, creative ideas,
and a strong “spine” so he will stand his ground..
I can’t say the same for Sarah Palin, however. Not only did she endorse
John McCain and Carly Fiorina, but look who she helped Big Time in Idaho!
Tea Party Defeats Palin in Idaho

(Be sure to click on the link in the above article for another article.)
How many more cronies in John McCain’s 2008 campaign will she help?
And when will the Media stop saying she’s the Tea Party favorite!!!
I think Tea Partiers will pay NO attention to her endorsement of Fiorina
and vote their principles on Election Day!! Mark Levin says don’t sell out
conservative candidates for moderates who don’t stand on principle. He
says it is CONSERVATIVE candidates, and not appeasers or moderates,
who win elections..CLICK HERE TO LISTEN. (only a few minutes)
Many of you have been asking for my views on candidates and propositions, so, for what it’s worth, I’ll pass on some information. But please know, many of you have studied these far more than I have. (I read more about national and global issues than local, but I want to begin concerning myself more with our community.)
GOVERNOR
How can we get excited over Meg or Steve? Their histories are alarming!
Are they Republicans or RINOs or Progressives ? Who knows what we’ll get.
Do we vote for one of them because he/she “can win”? Win WHAT, I ask!
Consider this: If a principled candidate in the lineup got a LOT of votes,
future principled candidates out there, somewhere, might run next time.
But if principled candidates get a piddling number of votes, they won’t.
Principled candidates have been coming forward all across this country!
We’ll get more in California as the Tea Party movement grows.
See what you think of Ken Miller at: www.kencares2010.com.
I know, Tom McClintock says “Steve Poisner” (who does sound good on Immigration,
as does his proposal for a Part Time Legislature — we MUST get that in Sacramento!).
And the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assn. says “Meg Whitman” (she does sound good on
jobs, education, and spending).
But their records shows they’ve supported liberal causes and liberal candidates!
Doesn’t their record count more than their campaign promises?
LT GOVERNOR
I usually trust Tom McClintock – he says Sam Aanestad
I usually trust Howard Jarvis TA – they say Sam Aanestad
But I also trust my Constitutionalist friend Pat and UROC* – they say Scott Levitt.
*United Republicans of California, Constitutionalists
SECRETARY OF STATE
I’ve heard that Damon Dunn is not properly filed, so he’s ineligible.
McClintock recommends no one.
Pat and UROC recommend Orly Taitz. I’ll vote for her.
ATTORNEY GENERAL
Tom McClintock recommends John Eastman.
Pat and UROC recommend him also.
I’ve enjoyed hearing John Eastman with Hugh Hewitt over the years
and believe he is a Constitutionalist. I’ll vote for him.
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER
Tom McClintock warns “anyone but Villines” so
I’ll vote for Brian Fitzgerald.
STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
Howard Jarvis TA recommends George Runner.
Pat and UROC also recommend him.
George Runner’s top aide reports frequently to the
Reseda-Tarzana Republican Women and he sounds
Constitutional. I’ll vote for him.
