Recent polls show Rubio is either tied with VANCE or ahead

The main head-to-head poll with Rubio vs. Vance as the top two options is from Emerson College Polling (May 24–25, 2026):

  • JD Vance: 36%
  • Marco Rubio: 35%
  • Vance +1 (statistical tie)

This was among likely Republican primary voters. Rubio had surged 15 points since February (when Vance led 52%–20%). Other candidates (DeSantis, Haley, etc.) were in single digits, with ~15% undecided.

Note: Most 2028 GOP primary polls include a full field (Vance still leads aggregates ~37%–22%), but Emerson is the clearest recent two-way contest showing them nearly even. Polls this far out shift quickly. For the latest, check RealClearPolling.

    Hey, corrupt! Marco Rubio is not a Natural Born Citizen! Two wrongs don’t make a right! How can we stand with a straight face and tell the world that conservatives in this country have any moral values if we turn around and do the same things we are blaming our opponents of? You have to make a choice! I do regard Rubio as the best Secretary of State ever, but, if he gets nominated, the Republican party has lost my vote!
