    The Pope is consecrated “alter Christum”, meaning that he is Christ on Earth. What he says is not open to challenge by Catholics. And why would he care about what non-Catholics say? This is pushed by Bannon, who sees himself as a traditional Catholic. But he cannot be a Catholic in good standing with the Church because he’s twice divorced.
