Nethaniahu was against 2005 withdrawal from Gaza. If Israel kept it’s forces in Gaza, as it did from 1967 to 2005, we would not see so much bloodshed on both sides

It’s worth pausing to remember now that Netanyahu opposed the Gaza withdrawal. We owe him an honest acknowledgement that he was right and that we (and Sharon) were wrong. For all its faults, Israel’s rule over Gaza—yes, settlements and all—was a vast improvement over Hamas rule for people on both sides of the line.
