    There was no conference in Arizona. There was a meeting with Sheriff Arpaio and various attorneys. Thereafter, the DOJ agreed to dismiss all charges against the Sheriff.

    The meeting took place at the Marriott Hotel in a suite but, beyond that, I have no information. This information came from the Mexican catering staff at the Marriott which, after the meeting started, were unceremoniously escorted out by a couple of deputy sheriffs in charge of Arpaio’s security.

    Maybe you can subpoena the overtime payroll records of Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department. The meeting took place past normal working hours. Or you could subpoena the guest list for the Downtown Marriott to find out who rented the suite.

    Oh, that. Sorry, I thought you were talking about the July 30, 2012 meeting. I have no information about the May 2010 meeting except for the knowledge that that was when the Arizona anti-immigration laws went into effect. There were a lot of meetings with LaRaza and I heard that there were some out of state organizers in town.

    If you can tell us exactly are you trying to prove maybe we can help. Was there anything illegal about this conference that we should keep an eye out for?
