Grok claims that there was a petition to the Supreme Court filed by Trump in Cook v Trump, but is was not docketted yet. This is very strange, as docketing should be automatic, particularly in a case involving the president of the United States

Yes, there is an application for a stay pending appeal in Cook v. Trump before the U.S. Supreme Court. The Trump administration announced its intent to file this emergency application on September 16, 2025, following the D.C. Circuit’s denial of its stay request earlier that day. White House officials confirmed the filing would seek to lift the lower courts’ injunctions blocking Lisa Cook’s removal, allowing her ouster before the Federal Reserve’s September 17–18 policy meeting. As of September 17, 2025, the application has been submitted but not yet docketed publicly on the Supreme Court’s website, and no ruling has been issued.
