‘The King Is Going to Roll Out the Red Carpet for President Trump’ in State Visit
British Ambassador to the United States Lord Peter Mandelson told Breitbart News exclusively that the United Kingdom is very much looking forward to hosting U.S. President Donald Trump at Windsor Castle for a historic second state visit for Trump later this month, and that King Charles “is going to roll out the red carpet” for the leader of the United States.

What matters is that that’s what Trump believes. It’s certainly not what the King thinks, and Starmer set this up to flatter Trump. Everyone else knows that.

King Charles has no say in these matters. He can act only on the advice of the Prime Minister. But he has told several people that Trump is a vulgar, rude arriviste. And he totally follows royal protocol. More than a century ago an African king arrived at Buckingham Palace. Staff tried to direct him to the staff quarters for lunch. King George declared that “the brute” is a king or he is not a king, and if he is then he dines at my table. So Charles will do what duty requires. And prove that it’s so easy to flatter Trump
