Not that simple. Leaving aside the First Amendment, do we want the President or Congress deciding what speech is acceptable? Students are allowed to be pro-Palestinian. What they can’t do is protest violently or threaten others. But there is no role for the executive or legislative branches here and it would be a terrible precedent to have them interfere. Conservatives get hysterical if their speech is suppressed.
