Hamas has said that 50 hostages who have dual citizenship and are held by the militant organisation in Gaza will be released to the Red Cross.
Sources who spoke to Israeli TV have claimed that a deal to release 50 hostages is underway, and this was reportedly achieved following mediation by Qatar. Crews from the Red Cross are reportedly on the way to receive the hostages and provide treatment.
It was reported that their transfer will take place in the Khan Yunis area in the south of the Gaza Strip. Airstrikes by Israel in Gaza have reportedly ceased in order for the transfer to be carried out.
