    Dr. Taitz,
I really appreciate what you are doing. However, I have to say that after watching the interview with Colbert I must make a recommendation. I agree that it is important for as many people as possible to hear about the issues you are raising, but I think you would be wise to avoid interviews with people like this. The interview comes across as him making you out to be a joke. Your sincerity is obvious, but with the laughter from the audience and his tone and jokes it is a waste of your time. Jesus told his disciples not to cast their pearls before swine. That means that you shouldn’t waste words on people who won’t hear them. Interviewing on a show like that is really wasting your valuable and precious words. Your work is important and powerful, don’t let people like Colbert dilute it.

Dear Dr. Orly- I disagree with Dave well I loved the piece. Humor is a valuable asset and you have a very good sense of humor. One part that Stephen Colbert mentioned that I liked a lot was how our Constitution was taught to Soviet Union children (correctly I might add), which has to lead to this question why are American children and adults so uninformed? I don’t know what our various governmental agencies, and news media are pretending on this issue. That part of the Constitution is very explicit on eligibility requirements for president. They keep jumbling up citizen status I think to confuse people. They really need to understand the requirements for natural born citizen. I’m going with our Founding Fathers they wrote the law, I merely am obeying it. This video is very easily available on hulu.

I agree Dave’s thoughtful comment. I would like to ad that when you are going to do a radio interview (in particular) maybe you could have one of your staff post all the relevant data: date, time, call letters/numbers , name of show, host name and their time zone. Many of us could help support you by listening and increasing their audience for that program.

Wow Orly, you never ever cease to amaze me. Given the format of Steve Colbert’s program, I think you did an absolutely great job!! I am soooo grateful to you!! I will continue to support you every way that I can….Thank you so much!!!

Dr. Taitz, your sense of humor, obvious confidence and courage to boot are such a blessing!! Wow!

I fully realize the the fact that you are gifted in these ways does not mean there is no cost for you and your family. So thank you….in addition to the “wow”.

The contrast with obama, his immaturity, sensitivity, paranoia and foolishness is remarkable. Keep doing what you’re doing.

We can give only very small amounts at this time because we are concentrating on paying off personal debt (started at $40,000 18 months ago and are at about $16,000 today…so we’re getting it done, but it takes almost all our income…) So I will give a little in a day or two, and give when I can.

God bless you, dear lady. I’m a bit of a history buff and have read dozens of books written re the Soviet Union and now Russia (pub dates from 1950-forward). The tortured history of Russia and its people breaks my heart. My own history is Danish–grandparents emigrated around 1900 to rural upper midwest (Montana/ND border area). You are a treasure and a blessing to us. PLEASE keep security in place for all of your family as well as yourself.

Before you contract to do an interview make sure you get a copy of the entire unedited interview. This was sooooo heavily edited that no one could hear you over all of the interruptions and crowd control by the host. Let them know that your time is very valuable and that it isn’t worth your travel and expense for an overedited and therefore slanted and spun exchange. Colbert can make people look stupid by just agreeing to be used by him in such venues – like, “well, if she’s dumb enough to not know how I’ll use her, then she deserves whatever I do to her”! Unfortunately, by laughing with him he makes the whole topic appear not to be that serious.

    Michelle,
I absolutely agree that Dr. Taitz handled herself exceptionally well on the show. And I agree that humor can be a powerful tool. But when humor is used like Colbert used it against Dr. Taitz it does nothing but fuel the idea that those who question the birth certificate are a bunch of kooks and wackos. Just listen to the audience when he talks about her background in the Soviet Union. They act like it’s hillarious to even think that someone from that background would have any knowledge of how things should function under our Constitution. We are dealing with ignorant, uneducated, and closed-minded people here and my entire point is that people like that will never hear the opposing argument to their beliefs. If humor were used to belittle the side that rejects the eligibility controversy it could be very powerful, but when it’s used against Dr. Taitz it reduces her credibility. She should take the high road and only appear on programs that show her and the issues at hand a level of respect. They don’t have to agree with her, but they have to respect her and her position and be willing to allow an objective discussion. Dr. Taitz does an excellent job, but we have to remember that when we watch or listen to her we are listening from a supportive point of view, not one of mocking and criticism.
