For those of you who may be interested and able to show up in support of this bill, I just saw that it was listed on the calendar as the very 1st bill to be heard when the session convenes at 2 PM in Rm SHR-1 in the Senate building at the Capital.   The committee consists of 6 Republicans (4 of whom have signed on as Sponsors) and 2 Democrats

I don’t know if the committee will hear from members of the public, but myself and Jim Wise plan to sign on as wishing to speak.  Any of you are welcome to do the same should the opportunity present itself.   (you have to sign in at the front on a computer, they will tell you how to do it)

Hoping to see you there, if possible.

PS>  Also, tomorrow I am scheduled to be interviewed about the bill for about 3-4 minutes on the Channel 12 Lunchcast News between noon – 12:30.  (estimated about 12:15 ??).  There should be a taped replay available on the Internet afterwards.

Are you going to Arizona tomorrow for this hearing, or is that someone else who’s going? I can’t tell from the post.

Maybe Prof. John C. Eastman, Donald P. Kennedy Chair in Law and former Dean of Chapman University School of Law, will testify at the hearing. He did a whizbang job at last week’s hearing on SB 1308/1309.

That was sarcasm, Orly. Prof. Eastman demonstrated he was not sufficiently familiar with the cases about citizenship from birth to be conversant with two of the Arizona legislators who questioned him.

Correction, it failed 5 to 3. That means three GOP senators shot it down.
