Something else doesn’t make sense

Following  things were reported and discussed:

1. more Republicans are expected than Dems, since there are contested races on the Repub side and there is voter anger

2. there was higher turnout around the country

3 tea party backed candidates did better than establishment candidates

4. women candidates did better

when I look at the initial reported results, it was a complete opposite in Ca and specifically in my race.

I am wondering if they are reporting first the results of the areas with more dems than repubs? Are they trying to create an impression that prop 14 is passing, that more liberal candidates are getting those non-partisan positions? Is there a manipulation in reporting?
