I have followed this case intensively since last August. I am not comfortable with the WND “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” bumper sticker/billboard campaign because the BC is not the central issue (although I give WND a great deal of credit for covering the issue). I wrote with a marker on a tee shirt “Soetoro?” and wore it to work, where I am surrounded by well-meaning but ignorant voters (good people believe it or not) who are thrilled about who is living in the White House (I wonder how long before the thrill wears off?). Anyway, NOBODY knew what it meant! NOBODY had ever heard of Soetoro! I didn’t tell them, I just acted shocked, looked incredulous and said (to the BO supporters), “You, of all people, I thought would know.” How about selling bumper stickers that say “Who is Soetoro?” with your web address and maybe WND and some others also? This would help raise awareness and maybe make you some much deserved money.
You are doing incredible good in the world–more than you know.

For the ones who cannot afford to donate to billboard signs etc. here is something I have been doing and has created alot of awareness in my town of 26,000. I printed signs from my computer that say, “wheres the birth certificate?” “principles over power” and “I will keep my money, you keep the change!” (you can make up your own effective sayings) I posted them in the two side back windows of my car. (i printed orlys and wnd’s website address at the bottom) When i go to shopping etc. or stopped at traffic signals, I notice people looking alot and some pointing. At walmart I had three people ask me what the signs meant as I loaded my groceries… I explained and they had no idea about the eligibility, fraud and treason of this usurper. Two of the people wrote the websites down and thanked me for calling it to their attention. I have written wnd about what I am doing but didnt have any response. Maybe they dont like it that this idea would take away from donations to the billboard campaign. Anyway, I cant really donate alot so this is my way to spread the word. Someone needs to take the idea and run with it, telling people in every state and I am almost certain that his could take off like wildfire across America. T-shirts are good, lawn signs in your yard cost about $12.00 ea. You can print most signs and banners from your computer at low cost. This I feel is an effective way to start spreading the word to the millions of uninformed people who simply think everything is rosey. You can be creative and post the signs anywhere and everywhere (just make sure you dont break any city ordinance codes etc.) I would print them off and put on all cars windshields in parking lots but that is against city codes and is considered littering in my area. Anyway be creative and do your part to help orly, wnd and to save our futures!

One of my readers by the name of Stephen Tonchen has created an introductory primer on Obama POTUS eligibility. Much of the substance of the primer has been culled from my blog and helpfully supplemented by Mr. Tonchen’s own research. This is by far the most clear, concise and powerful document created to help educate your friends and family on the eligibility issue. I strongly urge my readers to download it and to link to it wherever possible.
I will just reprint its discussion about the important and still controlling SCOTUS case – Minor vs. Happersett:
» In 1797 (a decade after the Constitution was adopted), the English translation of Emmerich de Vattel’s, Law of Nations was revised to include the term “natural born citizen”. The revised English translation helps to clarify the meaning of “natural born citizen”, as English-speaking people generally understood it towards the end of the 18th Century:
The natives, or natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. … I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country. (Vattel, Law of Nations, Book 1, Chapter 19)
» In 1874, in the Minor v. Happersett case, the Supreme Court affirmed the definition of natural born citizen which had appeared in the 1797 English translation of Vattel’s Law of Nations:
…it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. (Minor v. Happersett, 1874)
» In Minor v. Happersett, the Supreme Court expressed “doubts” regarding the citizenship of U.S.-born children whose parents were not U.S. citizens. In Wong Kim Ark, 1898, the Supreme Court examined these “doubts”, but did not render any decision or ruling pertaining to natural born citizenship. The Court ruled that Mr. Ark was a citizen; it did not rule that he was a natural born citizen. To date, the Supreme Court has never answered the question as to whether natural born citizenship extends to children of non-citizen parents.
It is those same doubts discussed so openly in the Minor case that need to be discussed in open court today. If SCOTUS expressed such doubts then, then our current SCOTUS ought to enlighten us now. As I’ve stated over and again, this is a legal question already considered by our highest court in 1874 – a full six years after the 14th Amendment was adopted. This is an important time reference which should be wielded at all who state the 14th Amendment is controlling as to nbc status. It is not. SCOTUS expressed their doubts clearly six years later in the Minor case which has never been over-ruled.
The issue is not a conspiracy theory, it is a legal question, a legal question that SCOTUS precedent admits to not having cleared up yet. It is not settled law and until it is our country and the Presidency are not legitimate.

Gentleman is a scholar and puts alot of stock in a healthy working legal system–the one that allowed a person of interest access to the chambers of eight Supreme Court Justices two days before the inauguration
Scholars like to minces facts and legal scholars love the refined pablum of analyzing minutia ad nauseum.
Is Eric Holder a good Attorney general? Is the sotomeyer candidate for the supreme court not a product of gross affirmative action by her own admission? How many times was this affirmative action Judge reversed?
Hitler burned books. In a manner of speaking Obama is burning the constitution. The Iranians in their repressisve givernmnet protest alot more effectively that the bland sheep here in the USA. Theyare letting too much slide as this Chairman Obama swiftly rides on the crest of his burgeoning power. He has unlimited money from the Arabs toi attack lawyers who represent the eligibility issues, so what is the point of splitting hairs here in this letter column –the man is a scholar-more power to him Maderos was a scholar as well–as was wilson. Verbose, prolix, detailed, applause from fellow scholars and bores–and still Chairman Obama is building his head of steam. Does what he wants, when he wants and to whom he wants. He will NEVER step down like Nixon and even if disgraced like Clinton the left press that has pretty much brainwashed the american public, will back him tom the hilt that is already a given.

The republicans seem impotent and watered down, maybe a nationalist party is needed.
The military is disgusted and psychologicaslly worn out. As to acknowledged Gay officers? would never work–some would be fragged and the bulk of the others would be the butt of jokes and rediculed and order in that rigid society will break down.–but I digress.This Obama bastard is seriously contemplating his own SS vangarde– and what is happening to Bullets?
Enough people have to go to washington and take off the gloves, and stop this gentelmanly teas party bunk and make it clear that he has to step down or he will be removed before he totally destroys this country–well on its way there in the few months he has been in office.

A natural born Citizen is one who is born inside the United States of a mother and a father who are each US citizens at the moment of that child’s birth. That child has a natural born allegiance to the land of its parents. Any other condition of citizenship including
native born citizenship,
dual citizenship and
naturalized citizenship
will naturally manifest split allegiances between the three, mother, father and land of birth.
Barry Soetoro has split allegiances due to the circumstances of his birth that he documents in his own autobiography. The journey from Barry Soetoro’s entry into the U.S. as an Indonesian citizen to the election of his alias, Barack Obama, to the Illinois State Senate is highly suspicious. It is a trail filled with forgery and false identity documents. Barry Soetoro is the creep who hides under Barack Obama’s rock. Public viewing of the life and times of Barry Soetoro will undo Barack Obama. He is at best a legal immigrant. In all cases his presence in the office of President is a legal offense to The People of the United States of America.
The truth about the story of Barry Soetoro is far most hazardous to the Obamas. The birth certificate issue is a smoke screen placed there to confuse the obvious. Barack H. Obama Sr. was a citizen of a foreign country and the moment of BHO, Jr’s. birth. It is misplaced emphasis, put there by who else? BHO. The argument that his was native born U.S. citizen is simply that, argumentative. It’s smoke. It conceals the obvious and easily provable. What else would you expect from a Harvard educated lawyer?

We must continue to support efforts like Orly’s to legally deal with the courts on the eligibility issue.
We also must contact our Congress and put pressure on them. I emailed a couple of my Congressman and informed them that even though I voted for them in the last election I will not do so again since on their watch they choose to ignore the Constitution and not qualify Obama. We must only elect Senators in 2010 who will vet Obama (is he is not by then) regardless of their party affiliation.
We must also do take local political protesting to get the issue before our communities since the media ignores this. I plan to be with a friend or two on the busiest intersections on the sidewalks holding signs saying for example “Impeach Obama”, “Not natural born?”, “No Selective Service Record?” or whatever.
You can go to a Lowes or Home Depot and buy a 4’X8′ white sheet of insulation panel (it seems to be made of foam) for about $9/sheet and cut it into smaller sections for signs. Then buy some large lettering stencils at a craft store and some spray paint to make some good sized and inexpensive signs.

To CitizenAK: I’m sorry you’re not comfortable with the billboard campaign, but I would say this to you: do not discourage any methods, including the billboard campaign, of getting the word out. Encourage people to do what they can and what they want to do. It’s perfectly fine to have many different kinds of awareness campaigns and methods going on at once. I like your T-shirt and marker idea, and plan to use it myself. We all know T-shirts get lots of attention. And I like putting out the name “Soetoro”. Along with seeing references to the birth certificate, that should also pique people’s interest – especially when they learn enough to connect the two phrases. Great idea!!

If you want to get the word out about Obama fast and at a very reasonable price go to freewayblogger.com. “Free Speech use it or lose it”. These signs can have been hung everywhere. I have no idea how they got them in some of the places that they did, very high visibility. You can make these signs alone or with others-they can be very creative and you can express as many ideas re: non-existent birth certificate as you wish. The anonymous factor is good. No bashed in cars, no vandalism to homes, no violence to person etc. I have seen too many threats and intimidation’s by the Obama machine already, otherwise I think that this issue would have been resolved long ago. I think there is a large Fear Factor out there that has to be recognized, and dealt with by these signs. The Constitution and its laws are the laws of our land. If the supporters of Obama (illegal alien) could understand that by his usurping the Constitution that what’s next no more Civil Rights? They would really scream if they found out Civil Rights would be gone if they haven’t been demolished already. All governments should look at what is happening in Iran today, one day the people get tired of all the lies. Our country can be a shining example of how to go about this lawfully, my best guess the Iranians just couldn’t take it anymore.

Words have meaning.
Citizen,naturalized citizen and natural born citizen.
To be president you have to be a natural born citizen.
How can you be a natural born citizen when one parent was a foreigner who never became a citizen of this country.If a birth certificate does not state the doctor, the hospital and has no signature of a witness to the birth what legal purpose does a birth certificate or whatever you want to call it serve?
Obamas certificate states none of these things so what good is it?I would think to be president of this country you would need to show better proof then some piece of paper that lacks this vital information .Why is a person called crazy or a nut job because they refuse to accept this piece of paper Obama uses to prove he is eligible?Make a copy of this piece of paper Obama has on his web site and just change the names on it.Take it to the dmv or the canadian border or the passport department and see if they will except it as proof of anything.Let me know how that works out for you.Try signing up your kid for little league sports see if that piece of paper gets your kid accepted.

To KBB: To clarify, a billboard campaign is great. My concern is that the message, “Where’s the Birth Certificate” could be a red herring. We need a rock solid message, not vulnerable to distractions. Examples: “Who is Soetoro?” “Why Hide All Your Vital Records?” A key issue is British subject at birth, but that entails debate about Natural Born vs Native Born–too complicated for a billboard. My intent was not to discourage methods, but to take care that the methods used cannot feed into the hoax.
