NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF ONE PERCENT MANUAL TALLY AND SELECTION OF PRECINCTS TO BE TALLIED

IN CONNECTION WITH THE JUNE 5, 2012 PRESIDENTAL PRIMARY ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Elections Code §15360, the elections official is required to conduct a public manual tally of the ballots tabulated by voting system devices, including vote by mail voters’ ballots, in one percent of the precincts chosen at random by the elections official. In addition to the one percent manual tally, the elections official shall, for each race not included in the initial group of precincts selected at random, count one additional precinct, and the additional precinct(s) shall apply only to the race(s) not previously counted.

 

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the elections official shall provide at least a five-day public notice of the time and place of the manual tally and of the time and place of the selection of the precincts to be tallied prior to conducting the tally and selection. Selection of the precincts to be tallied shall occur on Thursday, June 21at 8:00 a.m. at the Tuolumne County Elections Office, located at2 South Green Street,Sonora,CA95370. The manual tally of the precincts selected shall commence on Thursday, June 21 at 9:00 a.m. at the Tuolumne County Elections Office, located at2 South Green Street,Sonora,CA95370.
