Donald Trump lowers China tariffs and announces end to ‘rare earths roadblock’ after meeting Xi Jinping

The bilateral meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, held on the sidelines of the APEC summit in South Korea on October 30, 2025, lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Trump described it as “amazing” and rated it “12 out of 10,” expressing optimism for a broader U.S.-China trade deal “pretty soon.”

Xi struck a conciliatory tone, but neither leader issued detailed post-meeting statements.

Key outcomes included:

  • Tariff adjustments: U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods reduced to 47% (from higher levels like 57%), with a specific cut on fentanyl-related tariffs to 10%.
  • Agricultural commitments: China agreed to immediately resume purchases of U.S. soybeans.
  • Rare earths: Extension of a one-year deal on Chinese rare-earth exports to the U.S.

  • Other pledges: Discussions on curbing fentanyl flows, with both sides agreeing on “many points” in ongoing trade talks, though experts view it as a tactical pause rather than a strategic breakthrough amid persistent disagreements.

No comprehensive trade truce was announced, but the session revived hopes for de-escalation after Trump’s pre-meeting threats of 100% tariffs on Chinese exports.

@realDonaldTrump

The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country. This was accomplished, including a complete update and renovation of existing weapons, during my First Term in office. Because of the tremendous destructive power, I HATED to do it, but had no choice! Russia is second, and China is a distant third, but will be even within 5 years. Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

Cleaning House: ICE Power Shift…

Up to a Dozen Regional Leaders May Be Reassigned to Increase Deportations

ICE ERO Dallas Targeted Enforcement Operation ICE arrests criminal aliens as part of a 3-d

A power shift is taking place within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as President Donald Trump’s administration continues focusing on deporting illegals.

“42% of Somali immigrants, 34% of every immigrant from Iraq, 23% of Haitians.” “59% of ALL illegal aliens are collecting food stamps, meaning that most of the people getting food stamps from the U.S. Government and the U.S. Taxpayer are not even Americans.” “Think about that.”

Interesting, Obama’s library that looks like a big jail, will cost estimated $850 million and will not house a traditional National Archives presidential library

Posted on | October 25, 2025 | 2 Comments

The Barack Obama Presidential Center (commonly referred to as Obama’s library and museum) is a privately funded complex in Chicago’s Jackson Park, managed by the Obama Foundation. It includes a museum, public library branch, forum, athletic facilities, and outdoor spaces—but notably, it does not house a traditional National Archives presidential library (Obama’s records are digitized and stored off-site by the federal government).Estimated CostThe project’s total estimated cost is $850 million, covering construction, exhibits, site work, and initial operations. This figure represents a significant increase from the original 2017 estimate of around $300 million, driven by design changes, inflation, labor/material costs, and legal delays. As of late 2024, the foundation had spent over $615 million, with the remainder projected for completion.
