Unsecured Twitter name leaves Mo. House majority leader open for parody

Eli Yokley

TWITTER TWOUBLE: Eli Yokley, the Mizzou sophomore and political junkie behind the highly regarded political blog, politicmo.com, tweeted the following today:

Whoops— @leaderslineup changed his Twitter handle & forgot to secure the old one. So twitterverse, meet parody account @LeaderJones.

Translated out of twitterese, what the tweet means is that someone created a parody account of the real Twitter account — @LeadersLineup— of Rep. Tim Jones, R-Eureka, majority leader of the state house. Jones recently changed his Twitter name from @LeaderJones.

The parody account — @LeaderJones — lists it as the account of “Birther Tim Jones,” and says it is a “Parody of Orly Taitz endorsed, Speker-to-be (sic) Tim Jones of Missouri.
