Fascinating! Tom Feeney was the Republican Speaker in Florida when he commissioned this very unusual task.
Feeney was born in Abington, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. He graduated from Penn State University in 1980, obtaining a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1983. Soon afterwards, he moved to Oviedo, Florida, a suburb of Orlando where he still lives, and opened a private practice.
In 1990, Feeney was elected to the Florida House of Representatives as a Republican from Seminole County.
He was elected Speaker in 2000, and was widely viewed as one of the most conservative Republican members of the House. He was tainted by the Jack Abramhoff scandal.
Mr Feeney was once opposed, unsuccessfully, by this same Mr Clint Curtis. The whistleblower Curtis appearing in this video is a Democrat.
Once again, Dear Orly, you have uncovered the appearance of fraud at the highest levels.
