It pains many of us almost beyond belief and the level emotional ability to express our shock, ire, deep concern especially in having relatives face the HUN hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini—blood, guts, material, bonds bought by american people in WW2, taxes used to lend lease in England and supplies to Russia.

Why did we fight so hard? A simple question. Why were we so committed to destroying the HUN. Why did 16,000,000 American men appear on the first day of the draft?
