from senator Jim DeMint

Dear Fellow Conservative:
Yesterday afternoon, U.S. Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) announced he will not seek re-election in 2012. This is a major development that will impact the balance of power in the Senate and the future of our country.
Over the past two months, I have been asking members of the Senate Conservatives Fund to help us defeat several vulnerable Democrats, including Kent Conrad (D-ND), Ben Nelson (NE), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Jon Tester (D-MT), and Jim Webb (D-VA). Now, Conrad and Webb have already called it quits.
They’re dropping like flies.
These Democrats are retiring because they know there is an army of freedom-loving Americans across the nation waiting to do whatever it takes to defeat them at the ballot box. The odds are not in their favor, and they know it.
We’ve made significant progress, but we have a long way to go if we’re going to build a conservative majority in the Senate. We need to keep these Democrats on the run and we need to recruit and fund conservative standouts to replace them.

Orly:…You want to run for the Senate in 2012? And you want to take on “Di-Fi?” Let me ask:…does the area where she represents use “Diebold” and/or “Sequoia”?
Is this something that can be brought to the attention of the people in Ca., before then? And all those people who voted for you this last Nov., should be a great base to build on!
Also…just a side note here:…those people in Nv. that I wrote you about (in the voting last Nov.) never contacted me back…and it appears they never contacted you, either?
And…now I’m thinking that they either (DIDN’T) get my 2 letters…or…they decided not to pursue it! Can’t believe they would let that go!!!

Orly:…also, wanted to add…”do you know how many counties in Ca. use Diebold and/or Sequoia? Supporters might want to target these areas, when the time is right, to discuss going back to “paper ballots” only?
And…if Bowen leaves her position, then, “WHO WILL BE THE ONE THE PARTIES PUT UP FOR THEIR CANDIDATES?”
Along with “having supporters right there at the polling locations”…will do a good job of keeping track of “what’s going on” and “who’s doing what”!!!
