On the Oct 27, 2009 O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly sat stupidly while Lis Wiehl made several conspicuously false statements regarding the facts related to Obama’s birth documentation. Referring to the ‘birthers’, Ms. Wiehl stated that “It’s this whole movement that says that Obama was elected from a bad, unconstitutional point of view because he was not born in the United States. That’s been litigated. Congress investigated. His birth document from Hawaii was shown.”

 

First, regarding “That’s been litigated” this case has never actually been heard in open court (because the plaintiffs have been denied standing).

 

Second, regarding “Congress investigated.” Does anyone know to what she is referring? Or as that a total fabrication? Does she really think that Barney Frank and Harry Reid have “investigated” this?

 

Third, regarding “His birth document from Hawaii was shown”, Ms. Wiehl fails to mention that what has been shown is purported to be a bona fide copy of Mr. Obama’s birth documentation. Furthermore, the validity of that copy is disputed for a number of reasons. (And they never mention the fact that Hawaii issues two types of birth documentation, and that there is an interesting dispute as to which type of birth documentation Mr. Obama has.)

 

Fox News continues to ridicule people who believe that Mr. Obama’s birth records — that are actually on file in Hawaii — should be made available to independent document experts for inspection and validation.

 

My question: are they afraid of this story, or do they simply not understand it at all? I do not believe that Fox is part of a conspiracy or a deliberate cover up. Stupid? Yes. Nefarious? No.

O’Reilly is in the tank—anyone with an IQ higher than a clam realizes there’s something fishy about a president that spends $1.7 million to hide a $20 long form birth certificate

 

Many of his supporters suspect that Obama is not ‘natural born’ and in the hope of silencing them spread falsehoods, impose a news blackout, and attack anyone who mentions the subject.

 

O’Reilly (and what he claims is a crack staff) could investigate the validity of the following documents (among many others) if he wasn’t in the tank.

    At some point America will realize that Rush, The Cowardly Lion has had his leash yanked in the direction away from even mentioning there is a controversy over the ghetto communist’s birthplace/parental citizenship.

    Many of us think Rush is The Doctor of Democracy… a Truth Detector. He isn’t. He’s as much a coward as Judge Carter. Rush is a bloated ego, seeking to protect his livelihood with Fox, who is at the other end of the leash. And Fox, by an account here on Orly’s site, is steered by a Saudi Prince owning a large block of shares in Fox, and who has threatened to yank his investment should the ‘fair and balanced’ company go after the truth. Money talks… truth walks.

    The same seems to be true about Hannity, Jason Lewis and Laura. All have been gotten to by Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ayles. What a shame for democracy.

    But on the bright side, the Statue Of Liberty should be made over, using Orly’s face.
