Re Debate with Damon Dunn and what else needs to be done.

Posted on | March 18, 2010 | 2 Comments

I got a comment, asking me whether I would welcome Damon Dunn at one of my events

The answer is-absolutely. As a mater of fact, I think we should have a debate in front of the largest audience of registered Republicans. I believe the person who has written to me (goes by the pseudonym raisa ) is a supporter of Damon Dunn. I will be happy to meet with him and his campaign manager and plan as large a debate as possible, where we can discuss all the issues of work of the Sec of State. Not only I am ready and willing to do this, I talked to a number of members of the Repub party leadership and asked for such a meeting.

Dunn’s manager is a company, called Meridian. They are in Sacramento. From what I have heard, he already spent some half a million dollars on advertising and campaign managers. I talked to the member of the Central Committee Adam Probolsky, to Scott Bao, Ron Nehring, Mark Bucher.

I have no managers, I didn’t spend any money yet, so Dunn has an advantage of the voters, being prepared by 5 months of his advertising,    and him being prepared by managers with years of experience .

It is time for the leadership of the Republican party of California to show some honesty, some integrity and some concern for the fellow citizens of the state. For too long the party leadership went with candidates who simply threw the money around, fed the whole cottage industry of campaign consultants. The leadership of the Republican party simply went to the highest bidder. Similarly the National leadership of the party went to the highest bidder, as far as our future is concerned. They voted for the unbridled free trade, which probably netted them great campaign contributions and  lobbying positions, instead of putting some safeguards for the American jobs and American workers. It is time to hold all the leaders accountable. Demand answers from each and every Republican leader: “why are you endorsing fraud committed by Damon Dunn, who concealed on his voter registration card the fact that he was a registered Democrat?” “Why didn’t you question Obama’s eligibility?”

“Why are you not endorsing and not supporting logistically and financially Orly Taitz, who was in the trenches for a year and a half, whom Debra Bowen is considering her #1 threat?” Each and every one of you should contact Ron Nehring, president of CA Republican party and demand that the party leaders condemn fraud and endorse my commitment to cleaning the electoral process in CA and in the country as a whole.

We have a great opportunity today. I just saw on very liberal NBC a report, that the Republican Meg Whitman is leading in her race for governor over very liberal former  governor Jerry Brown. Not long ago I saw a report that Republican senatorial candidates: former president of HP Carly Fiorina and State Senator Chuck Devore are in a statistical dead heat with the incumbent liberal democrat Barbara Boxer, who was in senate for years and who used to win elections in liberal CA with a great margin. Nobody did a poll on the race for the Secretary of State. I don’t have several thousand dollars to pay Rasmussen for polling. If there are pollsters out there, I would appreciate their help. It is quite clear, though, even without official polling: it is clear from the very worried e-mail from Debra Bowen (below) received by democrats.  It is clear by the trend. We are moving ahead and we have a great chance of  winning. My race can be another Scott Brown race. We can pull a CA miracle for the state of CA and for the country as a whole, as everybody, especially Democrats know, that I will be the most vigilant secretary of state. I can do what my current opponent cannot and will not do. Speaking of which, I need more help in research. There are a couple of other details in Damon Dunn’s candidacy, that bother me.

We know that he was a registered democrat in Duval county Florida since 1999, we know that he registered as a Republican only last year a few months before he publicly announced his candidacy. We know that in his interviews he listed Barack Obama as his role model and praised Debra Bowen, a rising star in George Soros’s SOS project, as one, who brought legitimacy to the elections. All of this does not sound like spoken by a Republican,it sounds like spoken by a Democrat.

But there are a couple of other things that bother me as well. Look at Damon Dunn’s voter registration card. He posts his address as an apartment in Irvine. At each appearance he claims that he is a great businessman, he tells this rags to riches story, he tells that he is established in the area. I am wondering, why would a successful multimillionaire, who is established in the area, live in an apartment? Wouldn’t he live in a nice house? What does that mean? Does it mean that he is not that successful as he says, he is? Does it mean that this is not his permanent residence, and he came here simply to run for office, because someone told him to do so, in order to prevent a staunch Republican from running? I looked at the public records on line. Those, as well as White pages, show multiple addresses for Damon Dunn  in Florida. I remember that Fl is one of a few states in the Nation, that doesn’t charge state tax. Ca is about 10%. Wouldn’t a good businessman claim Fl as his primary residence and not pay 10% state tax? I wonder, how does he file his returns? Does he file them as Fl being his primary residence? which means he cannot run in CA? Did he ever file a homestead? In what state did he file it? Can someone check that for me.

Yet another issue to check. It is past 12 at night. someone is repeatedly calling me now from a number 703-888-0579, telling me to stop “Birther shit”. This man is obsessed. He called many times before from unregistered numbers. Is there somebody, who is in law enforcement, and can help apprehend this man and stop his  harassment of me before he does something more drastic?

Thank you for answering my question. I am not a Dunn supporter. I am registered “declined to state”, as I do not have a party affiliation and I vote for the most qualified candidate, not on party lines. This also reduces the amount of nasty election mail and the number of telephone calls I receive during campaigns. My privacy and peace is important to me.

This is also why I am careful about my online identity and guard my telephone numbers. As you know, this information can be misused by people with agendas.

As an independent voter, I look forward to seeing how your campaign develops.

Orly is being harassed by someone. She says, “Yet another issue to check. Law enforcement won’t help her, but we sure can. It’s time we stand up for her and do what we can to help. These calls are coming from Herndon, VA. Latitude 38.9600, Longitude -77.3720 Some people know how to trace this caller, but I don’t. Could someone pinpoint this guy?

Perhaps all Mr. Harasser – 703-888-0579 – needs is to have a few of us call him – say about 2,000. We are spread all across the country, so without interrupting our own schedules we could call him 24 hours a day just to remind him how impolite it is to keep calling someone when you have nothing useful to say. Bet after a couple days of that he would stop calling her.
