2024 General Election: Raúl Grijalva in Arizona’s 7th Congressional DistrictRaul Grijalva (D) defeated Daniel Butierez (R) in the November 2024 election for AZ-07. The margin of victory was approximately 27 percentage points, with Grijalva securing a decisive win in the heavily Democratic district.2025 Special Election: Adelita Grijalva in Arizona’s 7th Congressional DistrictAdelita Grijalva (D), Raul’s daughter, won the September 23, 2025, special election to complete the remainder of her father’s term, again defeating Daniel Butierez (R). With over 80% of votes counted, she received 70.6% to Butierez’s 27.6%, yielding a margin of victory of 43 percentage points. This was a wider margin than in 2024, reflecting strong Democratic turnout in the district.

    This is because voters think the GOP is too extreme and they are rejecting MAGA. And Trump.
