  • Some analysts suggest that late-night shows, which were once highly profitable, became unprofitable in 2023.
  • One report indicates that the suite of NBC’s late-night shows (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonLate Night with Seth Meyers, and Saturday Night Live) lose more than $100 million per year based on costs relative to traditional TV advertising.
  • Sources familiar with the finances of late night shows suggest some are operating at significant losses, potentially in the tens of millions of dollars annually.
Contributing factors
  • Declining advertising revenue: Advertising revenue for late night shows has reportedly decreased significantly compared to past years.
  • High production costs: The cost of producing a late-night talk show remains substantial, including expenses for talent, staff, studio operations, and more.
  • Changing viewing habits: The shift towards DVR and streaming

They’ve been a failure for years. The only reason they were on was they were been use as anti Trump propaganda. Now that Trump won and the people have tired of the liberals lies, they are of no use for the networks. Sayonara!
