There is zero constitutional or legal authority for that claim, and a sitting President cannot be indicted.

Silly and will just encourage the Dem-controlled Senate to set up competing investigations aimed at Trump and also to bring out competing narratives on what the House is doing. None of this has anything to do with governing.

of course he can. there is no law saying that he cannot be indicted and convicted and sent to prison, in which case the vice president will take over under the 25th amendment

The Trump administration stated that Mueller was correct in his assertion that a sitting President is immune from prosecution and can be removed from office only through impeachment. And there is no constitutional provision for a “private” AG. Moron though he is, even Jim Jordan knows that.
