“Birther” Movement in the USA
Monday, November 23, 2009 7:46 AM
With regard to your article about the former British police officer aiding in the investigation into Obama’s birth you have omitted some salient facts about the numerous cases questioning his eligibility for office. Although all of them have been dismissed, not one has been rejected on the merits. The usual cause for dismissal is “lack of standing”. In other words the average citizen has no right to question Obama’s eligibility for office. Furthermore, there would have been no need for any of these cases if Obama had simply produced a valid birth certificate. Rather than do this he has spent millions of dollars blocking the efforts of those seeking the truth of his birth and eligibility. The fact that he has refused to produce this document, plus numerous other document such as school records, medical records, etc. should certainly raise many doubts and many questions.
