Dear Facebook,

Thanks for showing your true colors! Are you now going to remove every page and support group that doesn’t agree with your political views? How about taking down those “Destroy Orly” hate groups? Last time I checked there were just as many Obama support groups as there were anti-Obama support groups. I’m very disappointed in your decision! Clearly you are just another mouthpiece for this corrupt whitehouse!

If it turns out that Facebook did this deliberately, I’m cancelling my page with them and will urge everyone I know to do the same.

Dear Ray and Dr. Orly-so upset, I hope Orly just has a touch of salmonella with exhaustion. The tests will tell. I am so glad we live in a free country with free speech. It is disgusting that people who don’t agree with a point of view would do anything this evil to Dr. Orly or anyone else. Lots more evidence for court. If I were a Judge and a human being I would be furious. This is intimidation beyond belief. St Michael the Archangel keep a good look out for Dr. Orly and her family.

This action by Facebook, like Google, should come as no surprise. The founder of Facebook is Chris Hughes who was instrumental in making mybarackobama dot com. He mobilized the Obama internet army before the election. He was later signed on to lead Obama’s internet campaign post election. All republicans and independents including Orly’s congressman friends from Facebook should be advised to reconsider their account with Facebook. Facebook is like Big Brother Google and have access to monitoring of your accounts and activities. Many former Facebook users have complained of their accounts and details staying with Facebook even after voluntary withdrawal of their Facebook accounts.

Again, boycott Google, Facebook and Wikipedia. They have shown themselves to be not trustworthy.

“at the age of 25, Hughes has helped create two of the most successful startups in modern history, Facebook and the campaign apparatus that got Barack Obama elected…”

    Orly,

It is easy to set up a ‘Facebook’ style website…unfortunately it is another thing to establish a user base.

There have been some interesting attempts at competing with Facebook and MySpace which have some interesting potential. Yuwie is one of them which uses the model of advertising kickbacks to members in exchange for their on-line activity. They cannot compete with the big two yet or even come close, but I think it is due to the incredibly small return they offer in exchange for their on-line activity.

The problem you face with Facebook is the same one I faced with MySpace. A member has no rights. You are on their private property and they can call all the shots as to who they want to delete. MySpace is even worse than Facebook in this regard. I was deleted after two years with them and the establishment of a base of thousands of friends. I posted some of my own red carpet celebrity photos (I am an accredited photojournalist and was credentialed for every one of the photos) they deleted my account and without any explanation. The photos were the only possible reason they could have had. I wrote to them dozens of emails explaining that I was an accredited photojournalist and had full rights to my celebrity photos to no avail.
