AMERICA’S DECLINE-PLEASE POST

Saturday, December 18, 2010 6:49 AM
From:
“Tim Powers”

Over the course of at least 100 years, this great nation of ours has been in decline. Where America was once the industrial giant of the world and held God’s principles as first and foremost in society, we have been corrupted. We have allowed marxism and socialism to creep into our government at the highest levels and now I fear we are close to having to pay the piper. We no longer manufacture most of our goods, we no longer are allowed to drill most of our vast oil reserves, instead, we continue to funnel money to the saudi’s and other islamic nations for oil and what do they do for us in return? They pass the money to the taliban and al queda thus funding the systematic destruction of our military by sending our troops home in peices or in body bags. And guess what? We inadvertently paid for such destruction. We now live in a country where what was once wrong, is now accepted as what is right and vice-versa. Christmas has been virtually outlawed (or close to it) as to not offend atheists and muslims, military men stand to defend our Constitution against forign enemies as well as domestic, IE:BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA,NANCY PELOSI,AND HARRY REID. Homosexuallity is now widely accepted as the natural way of life in direct violation of God’s principles, people are suffering and losig their jobs and their homes and all this government is concerned about is making sure that political FAVORS are paid in full. How in the world did this great nation lose it’s path? It has been a slow and highly calcuated take-over from within. The American way of life is being “nudged” to the point of extinction. We must put God back into society first and foremost and then take up the task of restoring our Republic. If God is before us,no one can be against us. Comments welcome

We need to reject the ways of this world and embrace the ways of God.

That means,we need to reject those who falsely swear to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, only to later ignore and disrespect that duty.

We need to replace them with people of honor and integrity.

And in the name of Jesus,we will.

Good article, Part of the problem in the past has also been that christians have not stood in defense of the roots of our country. Where have the christians gone? The path was getting too tough, we were afraid to push our views on others. Now is the time for christians to speak up and let our voices be heard. May God continue to bless america.

In the nineteenth century when the United States was supposedly on the ascent, it was engaged in an unfortunate and massive violation of human rights of the native American peoples (that lasted for nearly a century), more than two million of whom were unnecessarily and callously murdered by the US military in collusion with the railroad trusts.

This at the time was widely accepted by the majority of the Americam people, but it was clearly unChristian conduct and it is also in violation of the ten commandments (“THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT MURDER”). People do not become LESS human simply because they are not practicing Christianity.

Although marginalization of native Americans was inevitable given the technological upsurge of the economy worldwide in the twentieth century and the irrevocable changes that accompanied it,this truth about America’s ascent rather puts the lie to the assertion that the United States is in moral decline relative to its past. Respect for human life is central to Christian doctrine and I do not see that this aspect of Christianity being less important in America today than was the case in the nioneteenth century. I do not think the inhuman, unChristian, and genocidal treatment of the native American people would be tolerated in today’s America.

The decline of the United States as of any world power is probably inevitable as the seeds of decline are inherent. Nowhere is it written or guaranteed that any nation necessarily must remain the number one power for all time. I think reality dictates that competition among nations will cause any nation’s status to fluctuate over time; sometimes we will be number one in most areas, other times we may not. I don’t see a need to tie this with religion (by the way I am a Christian and I am patriotic conservative American).

As for America’s present political and economic woes, it is important that we see these through an analytical and pragmatic lense–as that is how we will ultimately solve our problems. I do agree, however, that these political and economic woes are self-inflicted. Americans need to watch their politicians, government, and national institutions more carefully; it was a failure on our part to do this that really brought our country into its present unfortunate political and economic straits.
