We need McConnell to hold a nuclear option vote not just on Gorsuch, but for all votes, or, if McConnell refuses, we need to replace McConnell

Today, March 26, Edd Rollins, former Reagan campaign manager and Reagan’s deputy Chief of Staff, appeared on FOX, I believe on Maria Bartiromo’s show, and stated that Republicans need to vote to change senate rules and use the nuclear option on all votes, not just Gorsuch, and push the agenda through. I couldn’t agree more. That is what I was preaching for some time now.
Currently, all appointments aside from the Supreme Court require a simple majority. The same is true for bills that are budget neutral. All votes for the Supreme court and the rest of the legislation require 60 votes.
The senate can have a simple rules change vote, to change the rules and require a simple majority on all bills, on all votes. With a simple 51 vote majority the congress can pass all of President Trump’s agenda, now, until 2018. This is extremely important, as usually in midterms the President’s party loses seats. Republicans have only a 2 seat margin in the Senate, so they need to stop playing games, vote for the rule change and pass all of Trump’s agenda and expeditiously confirm 589 Trump appointees for the top positions in the government, ambassadors, US attorneys and federal judges.
So, why wasn’ t this change of rules done until now? In my opinion, it is due to corruption and desire to get millions of dollars from lobbyists. Senate is a club and it seems they are more concerned with fellow members of the club, regardless of party affiliation, their ability to get money from lobbyists, than about the country and the voters who put them in office. For example, now, if 51 votes rule passes, all Dems are about of business. They will not get a cent from the lobbyists as they will be deemed irrelevant. The same is trues if the tables are turned and and dems are in power. The 60 vote rule allows money to keep flowing to all 100 senators from both parties indefinitely.
It is time for action now. McConnell is an entrenched member of the establishment. It is time for President Trump to start the campaign for the senate to change the rules to 51 votes simple majority for ALL VOTES. If McConnell is refusing to do so, President Trump should start the campaign to replace McConnell.
If this passes, a lot of important bills will pass through, including the full repeal of the Obamacare and some common sense measures to replace it, such as:
- Allowing people to buy insurance across the state lines, it will lower costs immediately
- Tort reform.
- Removing from insurance coverage parts that people do not want, such as pregnancy coverage that older women and even men are forced to buy under Obamacare and so much more. I urge everyone to write to President Trump, McConnell and all 52 GOP members of the senate and urge them to vote for simple majority, 51 vote rule change for all votes. Amen Orly. I believe Trump will overcome all the road blocks sooner or later but in the meantime people are suffering and dying around the world because of the Democratic party obstructionists. We must focus on what the democrats are doing to us and to all of mankind and future generations. We must focus on Schumer and Pelosi and what they are doing to us and how they find a way to blame everyone else for what they are doing to us.

The comment below the asterisks makes NO SENSE whatsoever re: insurance programs. SURE! we all pay for stuff that we don’t like that’s included in the Social Security or Medicare programs.

Fact is that if one won’t pay for insurance for pregnancy then why should anyone pay for arthritis coverage? Then again if I don’t have cancer and don’t expect to become a cancer patient .. why in hell would I want an insurance program that covers EXPENSIVE cancer treatments?
What most arguments about helth care are all about is COST for treatment and eligibility for treatment which if not curbed for illegals then there will never be a sustainable medical insurance program here in the USA.
Every FOREIGN medical program relies on BUDGET numbers that are tied back to the NATIONS GDP OR GNP.
Low GDP means that NO ONE will get adequate coverage for their health issues.
If the GDP is 10 billion then healthcare cost would be calculated as a percentage of that figure. Now keep health care cost at the same level and allow GDP to drop to 5 billion… and what do you get ??? hahah you now know that every individual is PENALIZED on health care maintenance NO MATTER what system is derived to pay for EVERYBODIES converage. Pay yourself and not be able to afford the care of have a GOVERNMENT SYSTEM that can’t pay for the care either… WTF IS THE DIFFERENCE.. the heath care cost BS is just that … BS… bite the bullet and a government SYTEM that has a setup where competition between hospitals are created… based on quality or cost or whatever.
Let the care providers COMPETE for FEDERAL FUNDS to support their care giving services.
CANADA has a BULLSHIT health care system and that is predicated on the Canadian governments statistics… the CANADIAN System stinks
GERMANY has a dual system a government run system and a “private” system.. so make your choice and in either case YOU won’t be able to have YOUR CAKE to EAT IT too.
Spain is bullshit as is FRANCE and the U.K. and as any system will be that has health care as a % if GDP.
Health care availability is a FUNCTION of how any system can obtain FUNDS to support an EVERYONE health care system PERIOD.

All government programs are bankrupt. Every single one. The reason is simple you can’t make the democrats balance the budget and deficit spending feeds on itself. If you don’t use it you will loose as the saying goes. Medicare is bankrupt for that reason. The politicians will spend the money for entitlements to get elected and so will many of the young since “if you don’t use it you’ll lose it. If you pay for something you won’t waste it. Behavior is another factor. If you engage in life threatening behavior why should someone else foot the bill for it. There is no pressure to lead a healthy life and in fact it creates corruption. None of this happens when people have a choice not a guarantee. This argument has been settled with the last 8 years of the democrats enjoying unlimited power and deficit spending and ever increasing taxes. It is a disaster. Yet they still blame those who opposed every single liberal policy and government shut downs and still are facing the same old liberal insanity.

Just what we need in our lives … more contract crap that takes hours, days, weeks to understand what most people have no clue on what the contract language refers to for their health.
How many people out of 320 million have any idea on what medical or hospital terms convey to them for health coverage. Add..dental plans to the mess.
There appears to be no rest for the the hands on persons who are just barely making a living and then have to spend HOURS upon HOURS attempting to figure out what their health needs are to be in the FUTURE… like ten minutes after they choose a HEALTH contract…they learn that they have a bad lung, or they have one of their kids get hit in the eye with flying glass,or their other five kids have any kind of illness .. like ebola, leprosy or whatever.
Maybe humans should just take the same chances that animals take every day… you live or die through the graciousness of NATURE.

The nuclear option could be declared unconstitutional by the remnants of the Obama DOJ. Later it could be used to render future court cases unconstitutional because of the use of the Nuclear option used to seat Gorsuch. Democrats always have it both ways. I am sure that Trump and the GOP consider this. The congress has already defunded Obamacare. Trump has said “let it die on it’s own”.
