we are in depression, spending will not help. we need to go back to sanity of tariffs to protect American jobs and encourage investment in US, or the whole country will go down the drain with manufacturing nothing and spending like crazy

according to Krugman, we’re in a depression now.
I’ve been saying this for two years, but now even a left wing, Keynesian, Obama-loving, phony Nobel-winning, NY Times political propaganda-writing “economist” is saying it, too.

Protectionism will only enhance depression. Foreign countries will retaliate by erecting trade barriers too so that we cannot export our products.
The only solution is that of Reagan’s plan. Lowering taxes, so that people will have more money in their pockets and buy more things. This in turn will cause business to expand and hire more workers.

Thank you Chito Papa.
Tariffs will never work! Only LESS spending, LESS taxes, and LESS regulations.
How about eliminating the EPA, OSHA, The Department of Agriculture, FDA… and take the retirement benefits from all of congress.

Tariffs don’t work…right? Is that why other countries impose unreasonable Tariffs on uS products that are imported into their countries? Two prime examples come to mind….South Korea and Japan. Maybe you all can explain why its good for other countries and bad for us. As far as my understanding of uS history is,our government is supposed to be limited and Tariffs were originally used to support said limited Government.
