As we have reported on Tea Party Nation, Speaker Boehner’s new bill, which he wants to substitute for the already passed Cut, Cap and Balance, will cut almost nothing from the debt and will increase the debt ceiling. We can stop this, but we must act now.
According to reports from Washington, no Democrats in the House will vote for this bill. Boehner needs 217 votes or put another way, if only 24 Republicans vote no, the bill is dead.
According to the Hill, 22 Republicans are already saying they will vote no or are leaning that way. There are another 11 who are on the fence or are leaning yes. Here is a list of them. If any of them are your Representatives, call their offices immediately and tell them you want them to vote AGAINST the Boehner bill. The House has already passed Cut, Cap and Balance, while the Senate has done nothing. As Rush said yesterday, it is time for us to quit compromising with ourselves!
Call as soon as you can. If you cannot reach the Washington office, call the local office!
