Can someone explain why Trump isn’t thinking: one of the female judges? Or the other conservative male judges?
Trumper, this is serious!
We all need to have one more conservative judges to stack the deck!

Both are horrible choices.
What about a qualified conservative/libertarian woman or a minority? Congressman Raul Labrador would have been perfect.

I have the feeling this is going to backfire if he picks any of the two male judges. Their record is murky. This is not the first time he has relied on family and it has backfire. This is becoming a common thing with his appointments. He relies on some of his advisers and they are doing a shitty job coming up with people for these jobs. My pick based on the info available on their decisions from the bench would’ve been Judge Barrett. If the democraps would’ve voted against her that would’ve been more ammo in exposing their hypocrisy in the midterms. I don’t trust neither of these two guys.

This was a smart strategy. Appoint Kavanaugh to replace Kennedy and after Ginsburg dies appoint Barrett. This accomplishes FOUR goals, 1. Kavanaugh has a longer record to scrutinize for quick confirmation, 2. gives Barret more time to build a record for the next nomination, 3. could give us more Republican senators after mid-terms to confirm Barrett, and 4. brings us closer to the rule of law and return of sanity before confirming Barrett, which may cause civil unrest.
