To East Valley Tribune editors: retract your false statement

East Valley Tribune Editors:
The highlighted sentence below in your editorial published today is false. Please publish a retraction. Your staff needs to obtain both the Republican and Democratic National Committee Presidential Nomination forms from the Ariz. Secretary of State’s Office – Division of Elections, which I do have in my possesion before making such an assertion. The RNC does make that statement. The DNC form does not. It simply states who is nominated, period. AND THAT IS PRECISELY THE REASON THIS LEGISLATION IS BEING PROPOSED.
When your newspaper puts out qualifications for high level positions with your newspaper, do you then ignore them if they are not met before interviewing and hiring? Why are you advocating that the candidate for the highest office in the free world, regardless of who it may be at any particular time, not have to meet the qualifications inserted into our Constitution? If we should ignore the natural born citizen requirement, should we also ignore the age and residency requirement stated in the same Constitutional sentence?
