When we launched We the People, none of us knew how popular it would be, but it’s exceeded our wildest expectations. Through the past year, interest in We the People exploded and we’re closing in on 10 million signatures.
When we first raised the threshold — from 5,000 to 25,000 — we called it “a good problem to have.” Turns out that “good problem” is only getting better, so we’re making another adjustment to ensure we’re able to continue to give the most popular ideas the time they deserve.
Starting today, as we move into a second term, petitions must receive 100,000 signatures in 30 days in order to receive an official response from the Obama Administration. This new threshold applies only to petitions created from this point forward and is not retroactively applied to ones that already exist.
In the last two months of 2012, use of We the People more than doubled. In just that time roughly 2.4 million new users joined the system, 73,000 petitions were created and 4.9 million signatures were registered.

It wouldn’t even matter if it reached 100,000 signatures, “Re-count the Election” had over 68,432(when the requirement was 25,000) and they ignored it.

Your petition existed before they made the change. You ought to continue going after them with the FOIA and make them explain why it was scrubbed.—– By getting your petition back on that site advertises FREE the information about Obama which some people have never known before.

I’ve been following you since you took up the cause. First off, Thank you. I’m trying to get to DC on Sunday/Monday. Secondly, I’ve had similar experiences with whitehouse.gov. I started this one yesterday right before they increased the minimum. As a private citizen, it’s hard to get the required 150 just to get published on the site. It seems as though it doesn’t really matter though. The response is always the same. He’s going to do what he wants to do and the hell with the American people. Best of luck to you on 2/15. I think they raised the limit after receiving overwhelming feedback from your earlier posting.
There should be a Full Page d taken out in NYT, Washington Post etc. with the headline…
” WE HAVE NOT ALL BEEN FOOLED OBAMA !”
Then lay out the evidence of fraud.
This will en enshrined in history for future generations, when they ask – didn’t anyone know Obama was a fraud ?
Inauguration Day would be the perfect day as these papers will have wide circulation and will be saved as collectors item.

Orly…I’m for reinstating the petition. There are ALOT more people that would sign it than you think. The goal should actually be 200,000, then they absolutely NOT IGNORE IT. It CAN BE DONE. We, the People, can do.
