Texas v White was a deicision of a divided court in the aftermass of occupation, has as much legitimacy as the decisions of bundestag or German high court during WW2

Obama’s operatives are flaunting the decision of the divided Supreme Court in Texas v White.
Let’s not forget that the Supreme Court also came up with other decisions that we believe today to be false. Among them was the decision to fine(sanction) Susan b. Anthony for voting or Dred Scott decision ruling that slavery was justified. How about the decision depriving Virginia Minor of her voting rights in minor v Hapersett? Liberals and Obama operatives love to critisize the Supreme Court for citizens United opinion.
Not every decision of the Supreme Court withstood the test of time. We univerally believe that some decisions of the Supreme court were wrong. Majority of the Supreme Court got it wrong in Texas v White, just as they got it wrong in Dred Scott and in Minor.

I disagree on minor, the Constitution did not grant anyone the right to vote until 1919. SC Judges do not write law. Minor was famous for desscription of a NBC which is someone “born in a country to parents who are its citizens, these are the natives or natural born citizens”. Straight out of federal common law which of course was law of nations.

Leo… You are dead wrong. Minor was a simple voters rights case. Nothing more.
And Orly… Dred Scott was abrogated by the 14th Amendment. Though perhaps you would like to go back to the times prior. Minor was abrogated by the 19th Amendment. Don’t you want to vote? Texas v White is still the law if the land. Justice Scalia says so even today.

that only proves my point that Dred Scott and Minor are decisions that were not correct, those decisions perpetuated deprivation of civil rights and voting rights for women and minoritie. Texas v White perptuates deprivation of souverignty rights for the states. it is unconscionable and against public policy
