   I closed my eyes a moment ago and gave thanks to the universe or whatever anyone wants to call “that which is bigger than our little egos”.
   Today, July 4th, my heart gave thanks for America, my home here on the planet. It is my second home. The homeland of my birth is far away. My second homeland has taught me to take care of myself and it, my home. I have done my part to keep it in good order. I have appreciated all and the opportunities it has provided. I have seen myself as part of that home, to keep it healthy and allowing it To Be in the amazing wholeness of abundance for those who care for and appreciate it and cooperate in peace for its continued health.

   Slowly an illness has affected even this perfect, strong, yet vulnerable home.
   It has been patient with those who mistreated it. But like the house I live in, built of wood, must not only be appreciated and maintained, it still can be vulnerable to decay from the elements and bacteria and mold and viruses. I love my house built of wood also, and regularly find areas needing repair or patching or protection from destruction. Hoping or waiting isn’t helping.

   With my closed eyes then, I see the larger home, the State and Country I live in, is also – slowly and faster and then even faster – changing from the solid place of calm space for expression of human excellence and appreciation for opportunity to express and appreciate the goodness of life. It is changing in the direction to a sickly, deteriorating, angry piece of real estate without heart or opportunity or true joy.

   Being careful now to to not bother anyone with sentimental or religious or political tones, writing this down, I wanted to share what I think everyone already knows but are afraid of saying.
   We need to roll up our mental sleeves, use our innate wisdom, open our eyes in spite of our fear, and restore our home to its wholeness……
   America – Land that I Love. From Sea to Shining Sea. May it Regain Its Robust and Glorious Health! May it survive this horrible crisis.
