Dear Mr. Taitz:
Attached is the Department of the Treasury’s response to your request for passenger arrivals between 1979 and 1981 for passengers with the last names: Obama, Soetoro, and Soebarkah, that are contained in the TECS database. A hard copy is being sent separately via first-class mail.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,

Never mind, I moved down the page and got the letter to open. What a bunch of bull, why have a “hired lawyer” answer a simple question that a front desk clerk could, as they must have 100’s of requests for info. every week.
does the hired lawyer thpe up an answer to each and every one of these requests? ? I don’t think so !

Orly: did they say WHEN they transferred the records? If it was recently, then, they’re playing more games!

Mission Impossible — a google of “TECS” would reveal that the TECS System is the updated and modified version of the FORMER Treasury Enforcement Communications System. TECS is owned and managed by the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security’s (DHS) component United States (U.S.) Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
It would also inform you that the transfer to DHS was made in 2003.

garth — an “Attorney-Advisor” is the title of a staff attorney for the Treasury Department.
Orly served a subpoena in a legal case. Why are you so surprised that an attorney responded to a subpoena in a legal case? That is what attorneys do. It is not what front desk clerks do.
