REQUEST FOR INFORMATION UNDER FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 5 USC 552 FOR ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS SHOWING A TOTAL AMOUNT OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS SPENT BY DOJ AND FBI ON A NEARLY A YEAR OLD INVESTIGATION  OF ALLEGED COLLUSION BETWEEN TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND ALLEGED RUSSIAN HACKING OF PODESTA AND DNC E-MAILS

Honorable Deputy AG Rosenstein,

This request for information under  the Freedom of Information Act 5 USC 552 is directed to you, as you are in charge of investigation of alleged collusion between Trump campaign and alleged Russian hacking of Podesta and DNC e-mails. (hereinafter “investigation”)

As you know, the aforementioned investigation was ordered by President Obama/ by Obama administration in and around July on 2016 when President Trump became the Republican nominee.

Recently, former Director of National Intelligence in Obama administration, James Clapper, appeared on NBC in an interview with Chuck Todd and stated that there is no evidence of any collusion between Trump campaign and alleged Russian hacking. Clapper stated that  a report by DNI, CIA, NSA and FBI shows no collusion and no collusion was found. Furthermore, as of now there was no evidence of Russia or any other party hacked into elections, any election hardware or software and in any way changed the results of the elections.

The  allegation of hacking stems from allegation that some unknown individual in Russia hacked into the e-mail accounts of John Podesta and DNC and forwarded the e-mails  to Wikileaks.

After a year of investigation the FBI and DOJ did not find such individual or individuals. Furthermore, during the investigation of Clinton server, former Director of FBI, James Comey, stated that foreign intelligences are sophisticated and, if they hack into e-mail accounts, they leave no trace. So, if any alleged hacking of DNC and Podesta was done by any foreign intelligence,  there is no trace of such hacking.

Furthermore, Mr. Podesta admitted that he foolishly disclosed his password in response to a pfishing e-mail. As such, Mr. Podesta admitted that his e-mail was not hacked, but rather he voluntarily and foolishly gave up his psscode. (https://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurity/310234-typo-may-have-caused-podesta-email-hack.)  Even, if there was an additional hacking on top of voluntary release, such hacking was of no consequence due to voluntarily disclosure of passcode by Podesta.(Exhibit 3)

In relation to DNC, former Ambassador of Unted Kingdom to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray,  went public and disclosed that he received DNC e-mails from a disgruntle DNC employee, whom he met in DC, and he forwarded these e-mails to Wikileaks. (Exhibit2) (https://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/computers/item/24859-former-british-ambassador-russia-not-the-wikileaks-source  ) As such, release of DNC e-mails was voluntary by a DNC employee, not Russian hacking.

So, this investigation did not provide any evidence of any collusion or any hacking into the elections. However, multiple agents spent over a year doing the investigations, which means that millions of tax payer dollars were spent. The public is entitled to know  how much money was spent on this investigation.

Summary

1. Under 5 USC 552 respondent is requested to provide within 10 working days since the receipt of this request any and all documents showing how much money was spent by the FBI and DOJ in general on a year investigation of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and alleged “Russian hacking of elections.”
2. Additionally, under 5 USC 552 respondent is requested to provide any and all documents showing when aforementioned investigation was closed or will be closed in light of NO evidence of Trump campaign collusion after one year of investigation.

James Clapper, the former Director of National Intelligence, told a Senate Judiciary subcommittee on Monday that he still has not seen any evidence of any kind of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian foreign nationals.

On NBC weeks earlier, Clapper said, “We did not include any evidence in our report, and I say, ‘our,’ that’s NSA, FBI and CIA, with my office, the Director of National Intelligence, that had anything, that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that included in our report.”

When former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates was asked the same question, she declined to answer indicating that to do so might reveal classified information.

But Yates clarified further by saying, “Just because I say I can’t answer it, you should now draw from than an assumption that the answer is ‘yes.'”

Former British Ambassador: Russia Not the WikiLeaks Source

A former British ambassador who is now an operative for WikiLeaks says that the leaked DNC and Clinton campaign e-mails and documents were not hacked by the Russian government, as claimed by the CIA. In fact, he says the leaked documents were not hacked at all. “The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks,” former ambassador Craig Murray said in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

Murray (shown) was the British ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2002 to 2004, when he was removed from his post for speaking out against the use of torture to obtain intelligence on Islamic terrorism. Murray said the practice was immoral and illegal and that the intelligence gathered was unreliable, describing it as “selling our souls for dross.”

After leaving his post, Murray continued to expose illegal and immoral operations that are part and parcel of the war on terror. In 2006, he published documents on his website showing that CIA proxies routinely torture suspects and use the dubious information obtained from the torture as propaganda to continue the war on terror. He was ordered by the British Treasury Solicitor’s office to remove the documents by July 10, 2006 or face an injunction from the High Court. Many of the readers of his website responded by copying the documents and mirroring them on other websites. The documents were never taken down and no legal action was ever brought.

Typo led to Podesta email hack: report

The hack and eventual release of a decade’s worth of Hillary Clintoncampaign chairman John Podesta’s emails may have been caused by a typo, The New York Times reported Tuesday in an in-depth piece on Russian cyberattacks.

Last March, Podesta received an email purportedly from Google saying hackers had tried to infiltrate his Gmail account. When an aide emailed the campaign’s IT staff to ask if the notice was real, Clinton campaign aide Charles Delavan replied that it was “a legitimate email” and that Podesta should “change his password immediately.”

Instead of telling the aide that the email was a threat and that a good response would be to change his password directly through Google’s website, he had inadvertently told the aide to click on the fraudulent email and give the attackers access to the account.

Delavan told the Times he had intended to type “illegitimate,” a typo he still has not forgiven himself for making.

The email was a phishing scam that ultimately revealed Podesta’s password to hackers. Soon after, WikiLeaks began releasing 10 years of his emails.

In late October the firm SecureWorks identified a Bit.ly account and WikiLeaks-released email that appeared to have been used to attack Podesta’s account.

The Bit.ly service shortens web addresses, which can make them easier to share — and less likely to set off malicious website alarms.

SecureWorks found a Bit.ly account being used by hackers containing links to a spate of phishing sites with victim information encoded in the web address.

SecureWorks soon found the email, and Delavan’s response, in the WikiLeaks archive.

The Podesta leaks dominated the news cycle toward the end of the presidential campaign. The leaked material brought to light the fact that then-CNN contributor and now-interim Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Donna Brazile gave the Clinton camp advance warning of questions that would be asked during primary debates.
