President Trump proposes comprehensive background checks, raising the age to purchase rifles to 21, ban bump stocks and allow teachers and coaches to have concealed weapons

  1. I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental Health. Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks! Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue – I hope!

  2. ….If a potential “sicko shooter” knows that a school has a large number of very weapons talented teachers (and others) who will be instantly shooting, the sicko will NEVER attack that school. Cowards won’t go there…problem solved. Must be offensive, defense alone won’t work!

  3. ….History shows that a school shooting lasts, on average, 3 minutes. It takes police & first responders approximately 5 to 8 minutes to get to site of crime. Highly trained, gun adept, teachers/coaches would solve the problem instantly, before police arrive. GREAT DETERRENT!

  4. ….immediately fire back if a savage sicko came to a school with bad intentions. Highly trained teachers would also serve as a deterrent to the cowards that do this. Far more assets at much less cost than guards. A “gun free” school is a magnet for bad people. ATTACKS WOULD END!

Schools are locally run so even if this was a good idea (which it really isnt) the federal government has no jurisdiction

If the age to buy a rifle is raised to 21 the then age to join the military and to vote should also be raised to 21.

After all the military carries those ugly things called guns. If you’re not responsible enough to buy a gun at 18, then you’re not responsible enough to vote.

You are antagonizing the wrong people regarding gun stocks. Leave it alone.
Concealed weapon permits goes with a comprehensive background check and teachers and coaches should be able to qualifies for such a permit and is available in at least 40 States and probably will be available in the remainder of other States before to long. Guns are small enough today that nobody will even know you have a concealed gun permit.

The liberals will NEVER agree to this; their whole idea is to take every ones guns so that the government will be unopposed & can do anything they want. Exactly what the founders were afraid of.

To late. Background checks and concealed weapons permits are here to stay. People are tired of the high crime rate and etc.
