ABOUT AL SHARPTON

American civil rights activist, Baptist minister and radio show host Al Sharpton has an estimated net worth of $5 million. He earned his net worth through his radio show Keepen’ It Real as well as his regular guest appearances in Fox News such as The O’Reilly Factor, in CNN and in MSNBC. He was named the host of MSNBC’s PoliticsNation, a nightly talk show, in 2011. He was a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the US presidential election.

Born Alfred Charles Sharpton Jr. on October 3, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, he is of Native American descent especially Cherokee. He grew up in the Brownsville neighborhood. He preached his first sermon at the age of four and toured with gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. He became a licensed and ordained Pentecostal minister by Bishop F.D. Washington at the age of nine. He graduated from Samuel J. Tilden High School in Brooklyn. He attended Brooklyn College but he dropped out after two years in 1975. In 1973, he became a tour manager for James Brown. After the Death of Bishop Washington in the 1980s, he became a Baptist. He was re-baptized by Reverend William Jones as a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in 1994 and he became a Baptist Minister.

Sharpton was appointed by Jesse Jackson as youth director of Operation Breadbasket in 1969. It is a group that focused on the promotion of new and better jobs for African-Americans. He founded the National Youth Movement to raise resources for impoverished youth in 1971. He has received positive words from his supporters and has a bunch of critics. He sees much of the criticism as a sign of his effectiveness.

Al Sharpton met his wife, Kathy Jordan who is a backup singer, while touring with Brown in 1971. They got married in 1980 and they have two children. They go separated in 2004.

Mr. Sharpton has regularly sidestepped the sorts of obligations most people see as inevitable, like taxes, rent and other bills. Records reviewed by The New York Times show more than $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens against him and his for-profit businesses.
Today, Mr. Sharpton still faces personal federal tax liens of more than $3 million, and state tax liens of $777,657, according to records. Raw Talent and Revals Communications owe another $717,329 on state and federal tax liens.
Mr. Sharpton said the federal liens resulted from a demand by the I.R.S. that he pay taxes on earnings from speaking engagements that he had turned over to National Action Network. He said he was up to date on payment plans for both the federal and state liens, so, he said, the outstanding balance was much lower than records showed.

During a news conference at the headquarters of his National Action Network in Harlem, Mr. Sharpton sought to refute the article’s assertion that there were $4.5 million in state and federal tax liens outstanding against him and the for-profit businesses he controls. He said that the liens had been paid down, although he declined to say by how much, and that he was “current on all taxes” he was obligated to pay under settlement agreements with tax authorities.
State and federal tax records show, however, that the liens against Mr. Sharpton and his businesses remain active, meaning they have not been completely paid off. The article also noted that Mr. Sharpton had said in an interview that he had paid off some of the debt.
The accuracy of Mr. Sharpton’s assertion that the amount he owes the federal government is much lower than the $3.6 million shown in records could not be verified. A spokesman for the Internal Revenue Service said federal law prohibited the agency from divulging any details about individual taxpayers.

But records on file with the city show that the IRS has more than $3 million worth of liens against Sharpton. And the NAN’s latest tax-exempt filing with the IRS shows that the amount of unpaid payroll taxes, interest and penalties it owes actually grew from $813,575 in 2012 to $819,721 in 2013.

    Hypothetical:
If a Caucasian who was born in the country of South Africa emmigrates to the U.S.A. and eventually naturalizes to a U.S. citizen, do you call that person an African American?

Al Sharpton claims he owns nothing but his watch and his ring. Everything else is owned in the name of his black mafia organization “National Action Network” which is a shake-down front for intimidating large Corporations so he will not have his loyal minions boycott their businesses. Corporation have even given him positions as an adviser capacity because of his close ties to Obama. He’s nothing but a blackmailer thug with a non-profit he hides behind.

Ever wonder where “Reverend” Sharpton was ordained a “Reverend”…more than likely at the “Church of What’s Happening Now”
