    Part of the problem with all of this is that many women have a limited self-identity beyond their sexuality. That’s how they create their persona… they capitalize upon their sex attraction. Of course it’s difficult for many women to express themselves beyond their appearance, what with the needs that motherhood and homemaking have laid upon them. Yet things have changed in society since the 1950s to where a woman, more and more, can make her mark as something other than a stay-at-home mom or a head-turner. She can choose to express herself as a scientist, a mathematician, an engineer… any number of previously mostly male-only occupations.

    But society at large and Hollyood are two quite different entities. Hollywood has no use for real life physicists, either female or male… nor for engineers, doctors, lawyers, what have you. The only industry is glammor, or machoism, or persuasive character representation. Until that changes, and it won’t, hungry and beautiful women will be at the mercy of hungry and powerful men.
