Obama suggests he’ll need more time on immigration policy

“My preference continues to be that Congress act,” the president said. “I don’t think anybody thinks that Congress is going to act in the short term, but hope springs eternal that after the midterm elections they may act.

    Hah! In order to maybe – possibly – hopefully hang on to the Senate by a straw at the edge of the roof, Reid or somebody got to him and screamed: “DON’T DO IT BEFORE THE ELECTION!! They’ll kill us at the polls if you do. They’re gonna hurt us real bad if you do it at all, but PLEASE! don’t do it before the election. I don’t want to get thrown out on my butt.”
