    The Electoral College is one of the main systems that makes us a Republic and not democracy where the government welfare majority rules from the big cities.

    For once I have to agree. The electoral college did nothing to stop the illegal occupation of the presidency by Hussein Obama. Of course the electoral college is only as good as the people in it so maybe that is the problem and not the principle of the establishment.
