I pray for the safety of Rep. Nunes every day. The deep state is gonna whack him the first chance they get.

Can’t the President authorize Capitol Police to go to the DOJ and get the docs requested in hand?

    Quote from the article:

“Nunes sent a request to view the documents on February 7, and again on February 8, February 14, and February 26. Brower finally told the committee on February 26, 2018, that the “Department has not agreed to allow further member access.”

Nunes wrote: “This arbitrary resistance to legitimate oversight is unacceptable.”

My comment, this is ASININE! Nunes, should personally, along with a sheriff and the subpoena , approach FBI’s Mr. Brower and demand the needed documents, if he resists, have him arrested for obstruction of justice by not complying with his boss Mr. Nunes, of the oversight committee.

Who’s ever heard of such a situation where the subordinate tells his superior/boss to go to hell, I’m not going to comply to your request?
Look at the amount of time that’s being wasted for naught.

In my opinion, members of Congress are being played as fools, or better yet as a**holes.

I follow Tom Finton of Judicial Watch a lot, almost always, he can never get information by simply filing FOIA request, with an agency, he has to get it through the courts. WHY? Let’s get some teeth put into that Act, that is, the agency must reply favorably within a specific amount of time, or the superior be suspended and fined. That’s plain common sense, going to the court should be the last resort.

That’s exactly the way it should be for members of the various oversight committees. There MUST be a favorably reply with the needed information, with a specific amount of time or else suspension of the head of the agency.

I don’t believe so, but they can make them in contempt of Congress and seek an arrest

Dr. Orly, Thanks for your comment, but I’m not speaking about the entire Congress, I’m speaking specifically about members of these oversight committees, they should be given the authority, to be able to use force when necessary, in order to get their work done. Eric Holder was in contempt, so what did that do? Nothing!
