Lincoln could free the slaves, allow them to move to the north, but allow southern states to secede. Occupation of the southern states was never legal, there is nothing in the US constitution saying that the states are not allowed to leave the union

In reading the 14th amendment you will see a guarantee of due process in the first section and in the third section you see a penalty applied by congress to anyone who has taken a loyalty oath to the Constitution and then rebelled against the same. This penalty was applied to Jefferson Davis and other Confederates without due process when Davis was insisting on a trial to vindicate himself and the south’s cause. This made the application of the amendment constitutionally faulty and hypocritical within its own construction. An assumption of guilt was made without charges, a trial or conviction. The due process of the first section was denied and the penalty of the third section was applied. The supreme court then threw out the case against Davis due using the excuse of double jeopardy since he had already been punished by congress without a trial. The trial would have exposed the fact that the government of the United States had first violated the constitution which led to secession by the offended parties, the southern states. If tried, the case would have found that president and congressmen from northern states had engaged in insurrection against the constitution and attacked the states which is treason. President Lincoln even sent troops to guard the state house in Maryland to keep them from meeting and voting on secession. He shut down the Maryland state legislature with martial law. Lincoln didn’t free anyone, he enslaved us all. |

The Constitution was written by God fearing people. It is as close to perfect as man can make it. But it is misinterpreted as necessary by liberals for their evil motives. “Congress shall Pass no bill of attainder” is violated on a routine basis. Just as you point out. The liberals have amended away the freedoms The Constitution was written to protect. Instead the liberals have interpreted the Constitution to mean they get to make anything they want to do for their evil selfish interests a constitutional right and abolish our individual rights. Just the opposite of what it says.

No state will ever secede because it would cost the super wealthy some money — banks would relocate, no one would invest, electricity and water would skyrocket, real estate prices and stocks of locally owned businesses would plummet. They will never give the “little guy” any power.

The Emancipation Proclamation that Abe wrote freed the slaves, even though it couldn’t outlaw slavery right away, but it started the process of the blacks’ freedom.

this is great, we are all for freedom of slaves, however the states have a right to secede

Maybe if Abe had allowed the South to secede, then they would had been able to keep their slaves. Either that or the slaves would have needed to flee from the south fast before the south would secede.
That most likely would had been Abe’s thinking.

I guess no one else did their research. The Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves in the so called Rebel States. General U S Grant stated “If I thought t the war between the States had been fought over the issue of slavery, I would have declined to participate.” You see, his wife owned slaves.
