    Speaking of tax reform, which I hope passes, but it ain’t over till it’s over, I also hope people understand what the ineligible presidential candidate, Marco Rubio, is threatening to vote against reform over. Rubio is upset because the tax cut for people who pay zero federal income taxes is not as large as he thinks it should be.
    Because of the welfare program called the “earned income tax credit” those with kids who pay no income tax can get a refund on the tax they did not pay. Thousands of dollars of additional welfare goes to them hidden as a tax cut. Any time you hear the government speak, “refundable tax credit” that is what it means.

    Rubio is going to hold up tax reform for this?

    sadly, I don’t believe GOP would be able to pass immigration reform, as for this type of law they need 60 votes
