Iran embarrassed Boeing: Iran negotiated to pay only half price for its $16.6 billion Boeing plane deal. Iran will pay only 8.3 billion for 80 Boeing planes, only about 50 million per plane. US taxpayers will pay 2 billion for each Airforce 1. (40 times more)

With respect, they are completely different planes. And most of the cost is for the security features for the two AF1s. Of course, Trump can always use planes without security.

Nothing unusual here. The US government overpays for everything since the political hacks who run the government are never concerned with budgets and can always raises taxes and borrow more money. Trump made that clear in his criticism of Boeing and the Air Force One deal.
