    Dear Orly,

On other topic, RE: lifting ban on bringing into the U.S. “trophy” elephants’ parts, killed in Zimbabwe, this just tweeted from Pres. Trump:

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 7h

Put big game trophy decision on hold until such time as I review all conservation facts. Under study for years. Will update soon with Secretary Zinke. Thank you!

Thank goodness!! I am sickened by the thought of more elephants being slaughtered for their ivory.

Elephants are so intelligent, take such care of their babies and herd, travel 100’s of miles for forage and water, suffer such decimation to their numbers.

I’ve read the books by Iain Douglas-Hamilton on African elephants, and Ralph Hammond Innes’ novel ‘The Big Footprints’, which detail what elephants have suffered at the hands of men.

PS: I also marvel at the coincidence of convergence in China (where people want ivory for carving and rhino horn for aphrodisiac), of Zimbabwian Gen. Constantine Chiwenga – the head of the armed forces going to China to meet with China officials from the Defence Ministry seeking Chinese approval days before the army launched its takeover of Robert Mugabe’s government, just as Pres. Trump is also in China and those 3 ball players pull their SUPREMELY idiotic thefts of sunglasses necessitating Trump to BEG China’s Pres. for favor of freeing them. Then the announcement that the U.S. is lifting the ban of Zimbabwian trophy hunting of elephant parts being imported here. Such amazing timing in all this happening at the same time; now at eleventh hour Trump says, “Put big game trophy decision on hold”. Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! I really hope is much sooner. Less indoctrination in our school system.
