The impeachment of Bill Clinton took place on December 19, 1998 and his trial in the senate started 3 weeks later, on January 9. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_of_Bill_Clinton

I believe that Mitch McConnell needs to announce that he will commence the impeachment trial 3weeks after the impeachment vote, which would be January 8.

I believe that the Democrats will be forced to submit the papers and present their case, otherwise, it will look like the impeachment was a joke, where Democrats impeached Trump, but are not willing to prosecute. It will make the whole argument that Trump is a danger to the national security, totally laughable. If he is a danger, why don’t you want to go to trial?

What will the Democrats do if McConnell announces the commencement of the trial? Will they go to court to stop the trial, to cancel the trial? This will look totally ridiculous.

I believe that McConnell should announce that the trial will be conducted expeditiously, which is in the best interests of the country and I believe that the nation would want this matter to be resolved expeditiously in order to go back to the issues that are important to the people of this nation, such as economy, prescription drugs, opioid epidemic, homelessness and many other important issues.

I believe that the nation and most importantly, non-partisan, independent voters are fed up with the impeachment!

    Yeah, Clinton did do stuff that should have found him swimming in the swamp…deep muddy swamp!

    His illegal activities should have brought him down!

    But the (R)’s didn’t have the time of day to pull that off!

    These dims have gotten away with things that a (R) President would’ve been fried for!

    The dims are so full of it…

    That they thought they could gather support with this stupid form of insanity…

    That they’ve gone and done the “dirty deed” to themselves!

    culminating in a 3 year “playful ‘crucifiction'” of Trump…

    Then, they FAKE themselves out by NOT wanting to follow through with their phoney, playground nonsense of finding Trump guilty of just being a (R)!

    They hate his Patriotism! (But we say: “Go, Trumper, Go!”)

    The writing is on the wall: “…dims have sold their souls to ‘TRY’ to usher in the nwo!”

    Yeah, right!

    Good luck with that!

    Why? Cause God has intervened and placed President Trump to be our Commander in Chief!

    Guess where we would be now, if Killery was elected? God, forbid!

    The Senate should actually want to show just how fast it can hold this “trial”…

    To show the public that this can be done without following the lengthy time frame the dims used to mess with the business that President Trump was elected to take care of!

    But the T.Party is NOT able to function for the National Security…

    They are incapable of doing anything constructive…

    And they proved that for the last 3 years!

    How useless can they get?
